The trailer for the highly anticipated Sandman series was released during Netflix's global fan event, TUDUM. 

According to the video description, "The Lord of Dreams has been summoned and captured by mortal men.  Once free from his captivity, this eternal ruler of Dreams will realize that his troubles are only just beginning."

The Sandman comic series is one of the most critically acclaimed comics ever written.  Created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg, the comic has won several awards, including multiple Eisner Awards, and was on the New York Times Best Sellers list. 

The Sandman series is produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, and stars Tom Sturridge in the titular role of Dream. Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg and David S Goyer serve as Executive Producers.
