Jonathan Kent comes out as bi-sexual in Superman: Son of Kal-El # 5
The son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane has found his identity, and will come out as bi-sexual in issue #5 of Superman: Son of Kal-El. Jonathan Kent is the 2nd high profile DC character to come out as bi-sexual in recent months, as Tim Drake came out in Batman: Urban Legends # 6.
In a statement to DC, writer Tom Taylor had this to say about Jonathan: "I've always said everyone needs heroes and everyone deserves to see themselves in their heroes and I’m very grateful DC and Warner Bros. share this idea. Superman's symbol has always stood for hope, for truth and for justice. Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics."
